Camping

Mila just had her first camping trip to Potter's Creek...She had so much fun!! The deer were amazing (we counted 14 at one time) and they came right up to our site. She got to meet her cousins (Julia, Olivia, Sophia and Isabella) for the first time - and got TONS of hugs and attention.
She has also had her first "real" food - Gerber's squash...it's messy but she LOVES it. We knew she was ready for real food by the way she eyeballs her daddy's plate every night at dinner. She has also had a taste of icecream and loves it way more than squash (we'll have to watch out for that).
We are getting ready for her first Thanksgiving (tomorrow) - I will put pics up of that and Halloween this week...so keep an eye out!

Mila at 4 Months

Mila is already 4 months old...time is seriously flying right on by. She weighed in at 13 lbs. 8 oz. at her last doctor visit and 22 1/2" in length...She is at the 50% for weight and 3% for height - translation, she's exactly average weight but 97% of babies her age are taller than her, haha! (she says thank you to her mommy for that). She is a very healthy happy baby - She smiles and laughs alot - and of course she coos/babbles a lot (again thanks to her mommy). She was very happy to celebrate her first Halloween dressed up as a ladybug (pictures of that will be coming soon) and by accident she also went to dinner that night dressed as her Gigi! She attended her first baby shower for her friends Jeremiah and Alexandra (both plan to be here in January). Uncle Clayton also came to visit this weekend to celebrate Aunt Candice's wedding - but mostly just to see the princess Mila, haha! Recent Mila firsts include first semi-solid food (rice cereal), first Halloween, and TONIGHT she rolled over on her own for the first time (from back to belly)!!!Our little Milanator is soon to be Rockin' because she's already Rollin'!

Oma's birthday

Mila took another road trip this past weekend to visit her great-Oma on Oma's 80th birthday...She was so happy and smiling the whole day! Mila is now up to a whopping 12 lbs. & 6.4 oz. She really enjoys her rainforest jumparoo...even though she's still to short and we have to put a pillow under her feet so she can bounce! She is definitely a thumb-sucker...which is easy when you can't find her pacifier, haha. I have attached another slide show as well as a video clip of her laughing while she plays with Nonie...the embarrassing noises are Nonie making raspberries on Mila's chunky legs!

3 months old - where does the time go??

Mila is (in 5 days) three months old!! She is still growing like a weed - I weighed her today and she's right at 12 lbs. & 3.6 oz. - Mila agrees with her mommy that BIG is BEAUTIFUL, haha! She is holding her head up very steady for long periods of time...she wants to crawl so badly, but she's just not quite there yet (won't be too much longer though). She also has begun to chew on things (her pacifier, her hand...MY hand) - she may be trying to begin teething already! She is also very good at grabbing for toys now - and she LOVES her bouncy seat...she goes nuts for the glowing waterfall and moving monkeys on it. We tried putting her in her "jumparoo" but her feet still don't quite touch the ground, it's really kind of funny!

Already 2 months old!

Time seems to be at warp speed! Mila is already 2 months old...and growing like a weed! She is already 11 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 inches long! She has more firsts...first full day away from Mommy (Mommy went back to work) - it was REALLY hard, but we survived it and it gets easier each day (it helps that her Mo-mo watches her while Mommy is away). We also have her first babbles...she talks a lot of mess, haha! My favorite first is her first SMILES!!!! She has the most precious smiles that are all gums!

Big day on the farm

Mila visited her Great Papa's farm today...she had more firsts! She saw her first miniture cows & bull(yes, that's a real thing), she also saw some goats - which she said smell worse than her, some geese, and Uncle Mike's snake-hunting weiner dog, Max. She rode around in an off-road golf cart...she wanted to drive, but I had to put my foot down. She is now 7 weeks old and weighs just over 10 lbs...yes, she's growing fast!

Life at one month

Life with Mila at one month...it's WONDERFUL! Okay - so there are A LOT of sleepless nights and smelly diapers, but she is so perfect. Updates so far: at one month Mila weighs 9 lbs 9 oz...a far cry from her birth weight. Firsts: First tub bath, first holiday, first vacation. Mila's first holiday was July 4th - she went to Momo & Gigi's to celebrate with family, then to Granny Gann's to celebrate with other family - she fell asleep before the fireworks went off. She has also now met many friends and family that she didn't get to meet before...Uncle Clayton came into town! She went on her first vacation at the end of July to Wimberly, TX with family.

Our little princess is just that, a princess...she is the boss around this house!

First couple of weeks at home

Mila's first few weeks at home have been a whirlwind of action and change for Mommy and Daddy...here are a few pictures of her first visitors at home. So far "Life with Mila" includes a lot of feeding, diaper changes and sleeping in short intervals (hopefully we'll get some sort of routine down soon!)...but overall she has been amazing. She already lifts her head up and looks all around - she LOVES to look around and examine things near her. Andy and I get a lot of laughs from her many silly facial expressions - sometimes she looks uber peaceful, sometimes she's CLEARLY concentrating on something (which means a diaper change is soon to follow, haha!!) She is three weeks old now and is already 8 lbs. 9 oz...which is HUGE concidering she was only 6 lbs. 4 oz. when we left the hospital!

Mila's finally here!!!

She's here!!! Here's a slideshow of the first pictures of our beautiful baby girl. She was born at 8:36am on June 25...her due date!! She was 6 lbs 6 oz and 18 inches long...and absolutely perfect!
